Hey,

I was totally convinced that I had all my songs done. Until I was inspired by a poem I came across from a civil rights leader. I don't usually sing other people's words, but this was just so amazing. Very fitting of our times too.

I just wrote the music to accompany it and I'm going to lay down the horn parts with some great Long Island players. I plan on posting it right away on last.fm and myspace.com/amandahalsey so I will let you know!
